RenewWrap Carbon Fiber Wrap

During an inspection of the I-385 exit ramp at the very busy I-85 intersection, SCDOT found cracks in the nine support columns. The ramp was temporarily closed while the assessment was finished.

After considering and evaluating traditional cementitious repair methods, SCDOT chose RenewWrap Carbon Fiber Wrap as manufactured by Milliken. It is cost effective and provides exceptional strength with a quick turnaround.

OCS, a trained and licensed RenewWrap Contractor, was awarded emergency repair of the first of nine columns. After successfully performing the first installation, OCS was awarded the remaining eight column repairs. All column repairs were completed in the summer of 2016, on time and to the satisfaction of the SCDOT.
