Overview

PROJECT: Sevier Solid Waste Addition

LOCATION: Pigeon Forge, TN

OWNER: Sevier Solid Waste, Inc.

SIZE: 5,700 sf

SOLUTION
EucoFloor 404

This is the second overlay project we've done for Sevier Solid Waste, Inc. and the third project that EucoFloor 404 has been utilized at this facility, dating back to 2008.  On this project, SSWI expanded its facility and chose to overlay the high use areas with EucoFloor 404 from the beginning to extend the life of the floor as much as possible.  Instead of a repair, they decided to add onto an existing building so they had more room for processing. They tore down two walls and extended the area. Osborn had to chip out what was left of the wall and cut any protruding rebar to obtain desirable clearance to adjoin the new overlay with the previously installed overlay. Another obstacle while preparing the area for installation was the port edge. Osborn’s team had to form this to the correct elevation, then put ¾” chamfer on the forms. They decided to use chamfer edges to try and prevent chipping and damage while the floor is in service. Eliminating sharp corners also minimizes potential damage or hang ups to other objects for a smooth transition into the pit. OCS always appreciates the opportunity to have repeat business and values the relationship we have with Sevier Solid Waste.
